Cheryl has been involved with Habitat for Humanity for many years, starting as a volunteer in high school. She has been in her role at Will County Habitat for Humanity since June 2021. Connecting with volunteers is her favorite part of the job. Cheryl enjoys her native wildflower garden, listening to live music, volunteering in a variety of roles and spending time with her cherished family members and friends. Cheryl loves sharing stories with others about Habitat for Humanity and has a long-time passion for the organization.

Retired from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development with over 33 years of Federal Government Service. I held the position as the Senior Public Housing Specialist. I also volunteer and work with underprivileged youths, in the city of Chicago from the ages of 5 to 21years old. I conduct workshops that focus on positive conflict resolution, anger management, anti-bullying and anti-violence practices. I am a devoted Christian and serve on the Usher board under the leadership of the Illinois First Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ.

Corina finds joy in lending a helping hand to others and going above and beyond to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Her passion for helping others inspires her to continue going on this journey God has placed her on, and for this she is thankful. She shares a strong bond with her family filled with love, support, and laughter. Together they love to create beautiful memories and navigate life’s ups and downs as a team. Her family is a joy and comfort, and makes each and every day brighter.

Partner Relations Manager

Raquel finds joy in connecting and building relationships with people from all walks of life.  With a background in community relations and strategic communications, Raquel has spent more than 20 years working within corporate, non-profit, and faith-based organizations.  She enjoys exploring other cultures through travel, reading, and embarking on culinary adventures.  When she is not working, Raquel enjoys life with her husband and two daughters.

Cody has over 14 years of experience managing communications, marketing, web, and media needs for nonprofits. He is originally from Missouri. In his free time he enjoys reading, occasionally taking on film projects, and hanging out with his family.

Matthew is the Project Coordinator for Will County Habitat for Humanity. He is also known as the “data guy” around the office. If Matthew isn’t working, you can catch him filming a YouTube video, recording a podcast, or visiting every cafe in the city.

Daijah comes to us with sales and recruiting experience. In college, she was a member of the Track and Field team, President of Black Student Union, and pursued a degree in Business Management within her four years. She has been a hairstylist for approximately 10 years, enjoys baking and decorating sugar cookies, and loves arts and crafts. She is excited to utilize her versatile skills in Habitat to Humanity.

Scott has been a home builder for over 40 years and has built over 400 homes. After considering retirement, he decided to make the world a better place and build for Habitat for Humanity. His hobbies include running half-marathons and playing with their new puppy.

Mike has worked for Will County Habitat for just over a year.  He grew up in the Detroit Metro Area.  Go Lions!  His background includes operating business remodeling, OTR trucking, and teaching. He has three wonderful daughters and four grandchildren.

When Heidi is not overseeing the ReStore, she is involved in the non-profit organization Shorewood HUGS, that she co-founded in 2008. Heidi is a former educator and an ICF certified life coach. She enjoys event planning, staging, and organizing spaces. Her greatest love, however, is spending time with her children and grandchildren.
