Applied Underwriters Executive Golf Invitational

The funds from this year’s Applied Underwriters Executive Golf Invitational are to help fund the James V. Smith Memorial Build in Joliet, IL. Jan Smith, Jim’s widow, has generously provided the land donation at 419 High St. Joliet, IL, to get the project started. We invite you to be a part of keeping Jim’s spirit alive.

In loving memory of James V. Smith.

The Illinois Affordable Housing Tax Credit (IAHTC) encourages private investment in affordable housing by providing donors of qualified donations with a tax credit on their Illinois state income tax equal to 50 percent of the value of the donation. The donor can choose to transfer the credits to the project, which creates additional project financing through syndication of the credits.
  • Credits are donation-based
  • Credits can be transferred to interested buyers
  • Typical donors are corporations, banks, foundations, and individuals
  • Most eligible IAHTC donations come in the form of cash grants, securities, real property, and personal property
