Volunteer with Will-Grundy Habitat for Humanity
Build something real. Feel the impact immediately. Leave with a story to tell.
Every volunteer makes a difference, and we have a wealth of volunteer opportunities available. Volunteers are the heart of Will-Grundy Habitat for Humanity. Thousands of volunteers lend a hand to build, renovate, and repair homes with us each year, as well as provide all other types of services. We have volunteer opportunities available in the Joliet, Plainfield, Morris, Bolingbrook, Aurora, Naperville and surrounding areas.
Will-Grundy Habitat welcomes individual volunteers to ensure that everyone can live in decent, affordable and sustainable housing. We invite you to help on our construction sites, in our ReStores, during our special events, or behind the scenes in our offices or committees.
No Experience? No Problem.
You do not need construction experience to volunteer with us.
Our staff and skilled site leaders provide guidance every step of the way. We welcome first-time volunteers, seasoned pros, individuals, families, students and corporate teams. If you are willing to show up, learn and lend a hand, we will teach you the rest.
Real Work. Real Impact. Real Fun.
Volunteering with Habitat is active, engaging and deeply rewarding. You will:
Work alongside passionate staff, volunteers and future homeowners
See tangible progress by the end of your shift
Learn new skills in a supportive, encouraging environment
Be part of a team that laughs, problem-solves and builds together
Every shift moves a family closer to home and helps keep our community strong.
