The 8th Annual HOMES FOR THE HOUNDS event will take place on Saturday, September 14th, at the Will County Habitat for Humanity ReStore. We are PAWSITIVELY ecstatic to be celebrating 8 years!
Homes for the Hounds was created in 2016 to give the community an opportunity to feel what it’s like to be on a Habitat build, but on a much smaller scale celebrating our four-legged friends! This fun event brings the community together: fireman, policemen, first responders, bankers, businesses, military, schools, families, and more. It’s a great opportunity to showoff your creativity by building the doghouse of your dreams while supporting a great cause!

Our Homes for the Hounds event supports the Habitat vision: “A world where everyone deserves a decent place to live” … Even Man’s Best Friend! Proceeds from the event support Habitat’s mission of providing affordable housing in Will County and Paws-4 Kids – Will County Children’s Advocacy Center – Hope, Healing & Justice for Abused Children.
The doghouses will be on display for 2 weeks after the event at the Joliet ReStore. The community is invited to vote for their favorite doghouse and have a chance to bid on a luxury house to own! Each year over 2,000 people vote online, and hundreds of people stop by our store to see these spectacular doghouses. If you have any questions,
